How do I calculate the discount amount?+
Discount Amount = Original Price × (Discount % / 100). For example, a 25% discount on ₹2,000 = ₹2,000 × 0.25 = ₹500 off, so you pay ₹1,500.
How do I calculate the discount percentage from two prices?+
Discount % = ((Original Price − Sale Price) / Original Price) × 100. If an item costs ₹800 and was originally ₹1,000, the discount = ((1000 − 800) / 1000) × 100 = 20%.
How do stacked discounts work?+
Stacked discounts (e.g. 20% off, then an extra 10% off) are not additive. A 20% discount followed by 10% off is not 30% total — it is 28%. The second discount applies to the already-reduced price, not the original.
